God Is Reliable

Help us, Lord our God, 

     for we rely on you  - 2 Chronicles 14:11

You are my strength, I watch for you;
    you, God, are my fortress,
    my God on whom I can rely.  

                                             - Psalm 59:9-10

You are my strength, 

         I sing praise to you;
    you, God, are my fortress,
    my God on whom I can rely. 

                                            - Psalm 59:17 

Teach me your way, Lord,
    that I may rely on your 

          faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
    that I may fear your name. 

                                          - Psalm 86:11

Woe to those who go down 

        to Egypt for help,
    who rely on horses,
who trust in the multitude 

        of their chariots
    and in the great strength of 

        their horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One 

        of Israel,
    or seek help from the Lord. 

                                                - Isaiah 31:1 

Let the one who walks in the dark,
    who has no light,
trust in the name of the Lord
    and rely on their God.  - Isaiah 50:10 

Indeed, we felt we had received 

     the sentence of death. 
But this happened that we might not 

     rely on ourselves but on God, 
who raises the dead.  
He has delivered us from such a 

     deadly peril, 
and he will deliver us again. 
On him we have set our hope 

     that he will continue to deliver us 
                                        - 2 Corinthians 9-10 

And so we know and rely 

    on the love God has for us.
God is love.  - 1 John 14:16
