The Potter And The Clay - Verses

Yet, O Lord, you are our Father.
    We are the clay, you are the potter,
    we are all the work of your hand.  - Isaiah 64:8

This is the word that came to Jeremiah
     from the Lord:
"Go down to the potter's house,
     and there I will give you my message."
So I went down to the potter's house,
     and I saw him working at the wheel.
But the pot he was shaping
from the clay was marred in his hands;
     so the potter formed it into another pot,
     shaping it as seemed best to him.

Then the word of the Lord came to me:
“O house of Israel,
     can I not do with you as this potter does?”
          declares the Lord.
“Like clay in the hand of the potter,
     so are you in my hand,
          O house of Israel.” - Jeremiah 18:1-6

Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord,
    but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.
                                                     - Proverbs 28:14

The Lord formed the man from the
          dust of the ground
     and breathed into his nostrils
              the breath of life,
          and the man became a living being.
                                                                               - Genesis 2:7

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and
       wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the
        depths of the earth,
    your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
    were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.  - Psalm 139:13-16

He who began a good work in you
  will carry it on to completion
    until the day of Christ Jesus.
                                                           - Philippians 1:6

"For I know the plans I have for you,"
          declares the Lord,
     "plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
           plans to give you hope and a future."
                                                                          - Jeremiah 29:11
