I’ve Been Wronged, Lord!

Do not seek revenge 

  or bear a grudge against anyone

    among your people, 

but love your neighbor 

  as yourself. 

I am the Lord.

  rage and anger, 

    brawling and slander, 

      along with every form of malice.

Be kind and compassionate 

  to one other, 

    forgiving each other, 

      just as in Christ God forgave you.

Holding a grudge doesn’t make you strong; 

    it makes you bitter. 

Forgiving doesn’t make you weak; 

    it sets you free.
